Kallen, Horace Meyer

Kallen, Horace Meyer
(1882-1974)
   American philos-opher. He was born in Berenstadt, Silesia, and was taken to the US in 1887. He taught at the New School for Social Research from 1919 to 1952, and was an active member of the Jewish community. His publi-cations include The Book of Job as a Greek Tragedy, Zionism and World Politics and Judaism at Bay.
